Me and poetry: a complicated relationship

Before the blog:

For those of you who don't know, I write poetry and other stuff like that related to literature.

I really love philosophy and thinking about politics and how it's completely flawed and what can make it better. I'll write about that another day but right now I'll just tell you that's what I write my poetry about. ( The other stuff really varries)

Hey,

As you guessed from the title, today I'm gonna write about how me and poetry and our love-hate relationship. As a kid I couldn't really decide weather I liked poetry or not; I mean I still loved literature like books: love em , stories and fables: cant live without em. But I was a little sceptic about poetry weather I liked it.

Let's get a little bit more into the present: In 6th and 5th grade I started reading some actual poetry and realized how much I loved it. But I still really hated the poems that had no meaning whatsoever and were purely for pleasure, satisfaction and fame. Another thing I really hate is when people misinterpret poems wrongly and then go around calling them trash and meaningless. And to be completely honest with you that's the thing I hate most about the modern literature and poetry comunity is that they don't even know what the poet means and they call themselves "experts", and it's also the reason I make my poetry super symbolic and hard to understand: so that only people who can appreciate it read it.

Back then I still appreciated poetry but still didn't really like it. Like, I still loved it but I didn't know if I had it in me to wirite that stuff and actually make it beautiful and, at first and even now I keep most of my stuff super private but I do post one or two poems on instagram in a while. But now things have really changed, cause I write poetry pretty much every single day but I do keep it pretty private.

In general all I would do is really encourage you guys to read and write literature even if you don't like it right now. I assure you that if you start reading some of it right now you will think that it is absolutely amazing and will thank me for introducing this beauty to you. On that note I think I'll end this blog.
